Mila Kunis Oscar Look

Tutorial - Mila Kunis Oscar Make-up

April 29th 2011

The Oscars all-rounder for me this year (makeup, style and hair-do) was without a doubt Mila Kunis. Classy, elegant, simple. So needless to say I was determined to try out her makeup look, and show you, STAT :)

To get this look, I'm using one of the stunning Limited Edition Opulent Eyes Palette's, called Rich & Famous ($14.95 - Priceline)

Ahh...mazing.... let's begin!

I start this look like any other, by applying perfectly even foundation to my entire face, blending onto my neck and out towards my ears. For this I'm using Mineral Therapy Liquid Foundation ($15.95). To get rid of any shine, I dust Translucent Loose Powder ($11.95), lightly over my face with a large brush.

I then pick up the rich shimmery brown colour (2nd from the bottom) with a medium sized brush and apply this all over the bottom third of the lid.

With a smaller brush I take the antique gold colour (3rd from the bottom) and blend it into the crease, just above the rich brown. I also apply it beneath the bottom lashes, starting from the tear duct, and finishing half-way across the lash line.

To add some more highlight to my eye, I apply a very small amount of the white shimmer (the top colour) just beneath my brow.

Now it's time to get the deep sultry shaded look that Mila has on the outer edges of her eyes. The deep matte brown at the bottom of this palette is perfect for this! So I pick it up with a small brush, and with small circular movements, I blend it into the outer 3rd of the eyelid creating a bit of a wing at the side. I continue with this deep brown shading beneath the lower lash line from the outer wing, and meeting up with the antique gold mid-way.

Now with Eye Definer Black ($7.45) I draw above the upper lash line, starting with a wing out the side and drawing in roughly 3/4 of the way in towards the tear duct. I then line my lower water line, giving it a few coates to really make my eyes pop!

I apply Blackest Black Impact Full Mascara ($11.95) to my lashes (fakies optional for a more dramatic look). And now we have Mila's gorgeous goldy-brown, smoky eyes.

You'll notice Mila had a really light pretty pink glow on her cheeks at the Oscars, so to achieve this I take Outback Primrose Blush ($9.45), with a blush brush and apply it to the apples of my cheeks and blending softly up towards my ears.

To get her lip colour I use Fairy Floss Mineral Lip Shine ($11.95).

And I'm ready for the red carpet! :p
