Inspired by Water For Elephants, starring Reese
Witherspoon and Robert Pattinson, Katie shows how to recreate this
sultry, vintage look.
I start this fabulous vintage makeup look by applying a thick
and even foundation base. For this I use Stick
Foundation ($11.95) because it provides a perfect
non-oily/non-shiny finish.
To define my eyebrows I take Colour Max
Eyeshadow Jasper ($9.45) and with small brush
strokes I apply it to the brow.
For gorgeous rosy cheeks I use Outback Primrose Blush
($9.45) and apply it softly to the apples of my cheeks.
Now for the eyes, I use Black Eye Definer
($7.45) to shade in the outer 3rd of both
eyelids.
I then use a blending brush to smudge the liner, which will give
the eye a sultry smoky effect.
Using Black Liquid Eye Liner
($8.95) I carefully draw a thick black line
along the base of the top lashes, starting from the outer edge to
create the wing, and finishing in at the tear duct.
To give a bit more highlight to the eye I use a medium size
brush to apply Colour Max Eyeshadow
Pearl ($9.45) just beneath the
highest part of the brow bone.
To finish off the eyes I darken, lengthen and curl my lashes
with Glamorous Lashes Mascara Black
($10.95). False eyelashes are an optional extra,
depending on how dramatic you'd like this look to be :)
Finally, I line my lips using Red Mechanical
Lip Liner ($9.95), and fill them in
with Lip Quench Lipstick Power Surge
($9.45) for a glamorous full pout.
Then it's done!
